Practical action on jobs, skills and employment – I have organised 11 jobs and skills events which have got local people into work and training providing them with a career path after school, or an opportunity to re-train.
Improve local railway stations and transport links – like a lot of local people I’m a regular train user. I want to see improved time keeping, better stations and more services on our trains and buses. Our road network also needs constant repair.
Fighting litter, graffiti and anti-social behaviour - Litter is always an ongoing battle, but along with local councillors I have taken practical steps to clean up our towns and local communities by organising and taking part in local litter picks.
Support local traders & shops to boost towns – In Halesowen, Old Hill, Cradley Heath and Blackheath local traders make big contribution to jobs and our High Streets, as someone who started my own small business I’ve worked to champion them.
More and better health services at local hospitals – Since 2010 I have worked closely with our local NHS to expand services at Rowley Hospital and challenging bosses at Russells Hall to improve services.
Protecting our local heritage and greenbelt – there is a real threat to our greenbelt across the Black Country and I have stood shoulder to shoulder with Save Halesowen’s Countryside group to help protect and maintain our greenbelt for future generations.
